Beach Program
Age 4+Designed for kids to explore the coast in a way that feels safe and fun. We focus on turning "the ocean is big" into "the ocean is my backyard" through hands-on experiences and supportive instructors.

Age 7+All about building Ocean Intelligence. Turning uncertainty into confidence, giving kids the skills to spot a rip current, the endurance to swim through the surf, and the teamwork to tackle any challenge, all without the pressure of intense competition.

Age 7+Separate Beginner and Intermediate sessions so each kid trains at the right level. Kids will build fundamentals, improve technique, and gain confidence through fun, high-energy beach training led by varsity and collegiate-level players.

Manhattan Beach is a home beach for South Bay families: wide, walkable sand, a friendly break, and the pier keeping watch over it all. It is the kind of beach where a nervous first day turns into "can we come back tomorrow?"
Our coaches grew up on these beaches, and they meet every kid exactly where they are. Whether your camper is feeling the ocean for the very first time or already chasing waves, we turn hesitation into confidence, and "the ocean is big" into "the ocean is my backyard."
From first steps on the sand to surf, ocean skills, beach volleyball and skate, every BeachSports program runs right here. And because we are locally owned and operated, camp at Manhattan Beach gives back to the community it is part of.

Manhattan Beach camp questions
Start with our Find Your Camp guide, which walks you to the right fit. As a rule of thumb: the Beach Program is where first-timers find their footing, Surf and Ocean suit confident swimmers ready for the water, Volleyball is for kids who love a team, and Skate is a great land day. Any of them can be your camper’s first.
No. Every program is built to meet beginners on day one, and our coaches specialize in first-timers, replacing "I can’t" with "I just did." Kids with experience get pushed at the right level, too.
It is one of the most beginner-friendly beaches in the South Bay: gentle sand entry, plenty of room to spread out, and the pier as a landmark that makes drop-off and pick-up simple. It is a beach families keep coming back to.
